We meet to do Irish Social dancing, not step dancing. Irish social, also called county , or set dancing, is similar to square and contra dancing. We meet at our tuesday class for practice, and go to dances and parties in the metropolitan area at other times. Our class is part of the City of Fairfax Parks and Recreation Department. This group is for pole addicts as well as those curious about learning pole dance. I have a small pole studio in National Park, NJ. I hold collective practices where pole'rs with prior training or students (not just mine) can come to practice and share moves in a fun collective atmosphere. I teach classes there as well which would be a prerequisite for beginners.  The studio is 3 poles so these meet ups will be small so that we each have our own pole to learn or practice on.
